Patoka Lake encompasses roughly 26,000 acres including an 8,000-acre lake. The park contains 455 electric campsites, 11 boat ramps, hiking trails, a beach, picnic shelters and is home to three resident birds of prey. The park abounds with a multitude of hunting, fishing, boating, and hiking opportunities.

The park offers fishing, hiking, swimming, and picnicking, all free of charge to the community and is open from April 1 to November 1 from 8 am to 8:30 pm EST. Overnight camping (both RV and primitive) is available with a small charge.
