Mainstream Fiber Networks Expanding Hoosier Access to Affordable Broadband through Federal Program

NASHVILLE, Ind. – Mainstream Fiber Networks was recently approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to be a service provider of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).

The ACP helps eligible households afford the broadband service they need for work, school, healthcare and more. As a participating service provider, Mainstream will be able to provide those who qualify with discounts to lower internet costs up to $30 per month.

“The internet is one of the most important modern tools available to the public, but unfortunately it is not something everyone has affordable access to today,” said Bryan Gabriel, CEO of Mainstream Fiber Networks. “We’re excited to continue our mission of bringing high-speed broadband to as many Hoosiers as possible at a cost everyone can afford as an ACP provider.”

For a household to be eligible, the household income must be at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or a member of the household must receive a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch.

Eligible households can enroll in the ACP through Mainstream or by visiting either www.ACPBenefit.org or www.GetInternet.gov. For more information on the ACP, visit www.fcc.gov/acp.

Mainstream Fiber Networks currently serves eight counties across the state and is headquartered in Nashville, Indiana with regional offices in Corydon, Fowler and Newburgh, Indiana. More information can be found at www.msfiber.net.
