Patoka Lake Brewing Takes Home 5 Medals at Indiana Brewers’ Cup
Patoka Lake Brewing, co-owned by DJ Hanselman and Greg Stoner, brought home five medals on Saturday, July 12, at the Indiana Brewers’ Cup held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. Patoka Lake Brewing won medals in the following categories: Irish & Scottish Ale, American Blonde & Wheat Ale, American Porter & Stout, Imperial Stout, and Seasonal Spiced Beer. Over 1,300 beers were submitted to the Indiana Brewers Cup, which consisted of two divisions: Home Brew and Professional.
DJ Hanselman, master brewer at Patoka Lake Brewing, is exceptional at crafting delicious brews, having won 9 medals since opening Patoka Lake Brewing in September 2023, just shy of two years ago. DJ started experimenting with brewing at home in 2010 before moving on to his first professional brewing position at the Schnitzelbank in Jasper, IN in 2018! Now, not only is DJ taking pride in his award-winning creations at Patoka Lake Brewery, but with the staff as well, who create an environment that is fun and relaxing.
